Early Help
Ilketshall Primary School: Early Help Offer
What is Early Help?
Early Help is support offered to families as soon as a problem emerges at any point in a child's life. The goal is to achieve the best possible outcomes for both the child and their family.
How can we help?
Outdoor Learning: We provide additional outdoor learning opportunities for pupils who we believe will benefit.
Complete Human Strategy: We invite families to check in regularly with half termly wellbeing surveys
Open Door Policy: We encourage face-to-face meetings, phone conversations, parent evenings, and meetings with parents of children with SEND.
Parenting Support: We offer signposting to parenting courses, behaviour support, and risk assessments.
Practical Help: We can provide food vouchers, signpost to local charities for financial support, and offer assistance with understanding letters sent home.
Pupil Voice: We have systems in place for teachers, TAs, and children to raise concerns.
In-School Support: We work with the Education Welfare Officer on attendance monitoring and offer home visits if necessary.
Safeguarding: We have a Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy in place and designated safeguarding leads.
Mental Health: We have a Senior Mental Health Lead and an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant.
Curriculum: Our curriculum includes PSHE, online safety, and global awareness.
If you need support, please come and talk to us.
We work in collaboration with families, with openness, integrity, and understanding, and with the needs of the child at the center of all we do.
