At Ilketshall we encourage children to learn about the challenges being faced all over the world. We make sure children are kept up to date with what is happening in an age appropriate and sensitive way. We also encourage children to believe that they can make a difference!
This year we have created our on school climate action plan. This plan details how we as a school are going to work together to be a more environmentally sensitive school. Our Eco Council will help to promote these ideas to the whole school community and we will work together toward our goals.
We also support local and national causes. We participate in wide range of events to help children to understand that their actions have an impact at home and all around the world.
We join in these events in a wide range of ways from readathons to bake offs and from dress up days to dress down days. We encourage everyone in the school community to take part and we always raise awareness and an understanding of the cause we are supporting.
