Clubs
Sports CLUB
Every child in KS1 and KS2 is offered a sports club throughout the year.
Our PE specialist, Mr Saunders, and Ipswich Town Foundation offer multi sports clubs across the year, alternating between Key Stages.
We also have a specialist Tennis club available to children in Key Stage 2 for those wishing to pursue this sport. Coaching for this group is provided by the LTA accredited coach, Ross Wilson.
Rock Steady
Ilketshall has linked with Rock Steady to offer professional music lessons during the week.
Parents can choose for their child to take part in these sessions once a week.
The children learn to play drums, guitar, keyboard or to sing and they join together to perform in their own class bands to a wide audience every term.
Earthwake
As an extension to our Woodlands School work EarthWake offer an after school club as well.
This is open to every child across the school on a term by term basis.

Gardening club - this is open to all children and offers a great way for children to take part in caring for you school grounds and growing their own fruit and vegetables on site.
Art club - this is usually open to Key Stage 2 children who are keen to develop and practice their artistic skills using a range of media and mediums. The work is then enjoying around school and also displayed in local competitions
Comic club - this is clubs is open to Key Stage 2 children and is run in conjunction with our BookMark reading programme. Through the use of graphic novels and a range of resources children create their own comic strips and characters
Choir - this club is open to all and encourages everyone to come and sing for pleasure. We work towards performances at key events in the year such as Christmas, Harvest and the leaving assembly in the summer term
Taster sessions - Ilketshall are also very proactive in inviting local groups to offer taster sessions to various year groups across a range of areas. This allows children to have a go at some of the activities available to them in the local area.
HAF clubs - we are also a site for HAF clubs that are open to all children in the school holidays. We offer a range of activities from outdoor learning days to comic days and from multi sports to cheerleading!
